Eryngium planum ‘Magical Silver Globe’, commonly known as Sea Holly or Blue Eryngo, is a striking perennial that adds architectural interest to gardens. Its spiny, deeply divided silvery-green leaves form a clump from which emerge abundant small, thimble-shaped flower-heads surrounded by spiky silvery-blue bracts during the summer months.

Blooming from July to September, this hardy perennial thrives in full sun and well-drained soils, making it ideal for coastal, gravel, or wildlife gardens. Its unique appearance not only enhances garden aesthetics but also attracts pollinators, supporting local biodiversity.

Eryngium planum ‘Magical Silver Globe’ is well-suited for various garden settings, including city and courtyard gardens, cottage and informal gardens, and flower borders. Its drought-tolerant nature and preference for poor to moderately fertile soils make it a low-maintenance addition to any landscape.
