Trollius Lemon Queen is a showy clump-forming perennial that brightens moist or boggy garden areas with its soft lemon-yellow blooms. The plant develops glossy, deeply divided green foliage which forms a lush base, and in late spring to early summer, upright stems carry bowl- or globe-shaped, semi-double to double flowers. The blooms float above the foliage on slender stalks, creating a graceful, cheerful effect, especially when grouped or planted in damp borders or near water edges.

Ecologically, Lemon Queen is excellent for pollinators like bees, which are attracted by its abundant, bright yellow flowers. It thrives in rich, moist, even heavy soils that stay consistently damp but not waterlogged. It grows well in full sun or partial shade, though in very hot positions some shade helps protect the foliage. Deadheading spent flowers aids in prolonging bloom, and dividing crowded clumps in spring or autumn keeps plants vigorous.
