The Clematis montana Rubens is a great example of why this variety of climber is so loved. These shrubs carry beautiful spring colours in the form of red-bronze leaves in the early Spring which mature to mid-green. Afterwards, an abundance of small, sweetly scented pale-pink flowers appear from late Spring, covering the foliage in bright colour and providing a great fragrance. The perfect choice for a trellis or fence.

Plant in retentive, well-drained soils and keep the upper portion in full or partial sunlight. The roots prefer to be kept cool and shaded. This can be done via groundcover plants or a layer of small, flat pebbles.

Please Note: When purchasing plants please consider that each live item is unique and may, therefore, differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. This plant will be supplied in a growers pot.
