Helenium ‘Bandera’ is a hardy perennial valued for its vibrant orange flowers with a warm yellow centre that bloom from midsummer into autumn, providing a striking and long-lasting display. The daisy-like blooms are held on upright stems above clumps of bright green foliage, adding structure, height, and seasonal interest to borders, cottage gardens, and mixed perennial plantings. Its flowers attract bees and butterflies, enhancing both ornamental and ecological value.

Thriving in full sun with moist, fertile, well-drained soil, Helenium ‘Bandera’ is low-maintenance and easy to grow. Deadheading spent flowers encourages prolonged blooming, while cutting back in spring maintains a healthy and compact form. Hardy and resilient, it is a dependable choice for adding bold late-summer to autumn colour and pairs well with ornamental grasses or other late-flowering perennials.
