Areca catechu 330 cm high. 48cm diameter pot

Origin
The areca catechu palm tree is native to the rainforests of the Malaysian archipelago, which includes Indonesia, the Philippines and the Pacific Islands. It is a diverse tropical species that has adapted to different climates in this vast area. The plant produces a fruit called betel nut, which is used in various Asian cultures.

Characteristics
The Areca catechu palm tree is versatile and belongs to the palm family. The plant grows upright with graceful, feathery leaves that are green in color and turn silvery with age. They have a slow growth rate, which makes them perfect for indoor care. They have a relatively thin trunk that can reach up to 12 meters in the wild, although they are usually around 1.5 meters tall at home.

Supervision
When it comes to caring for the Areca, it has specific needs due to its tropical origin. The plant likes bright, indirect light and an environment with high humidity. Watering should be frequent, the plant prefers well-draining soils. Drought can cause yellowing of the leaves, so it is important to water the plant regularly. In addition, the roots are quite sensitive, so care must be taken when moving or transplanting.
