Arthur Turner is a classic English cooking apple known for its heavy crops, attractive blossom and versatile fruit. The tree develops a strong, spreading habit with healthy green foliage and produces large, pale green apples that often take on a soft red flush as they mature. When cooked, the fruit breaks down easily into a smooth, well flavoured pure with a balanced sharpness, making it ideal for pies, sauces and traditional desserts.

In spring, Arthur Turner is covered in masses of white to pale pink blossom that is highly attractive to bees and other pollinators, contributing positively to garden wildlife. It performs best in fertile, well drained soil and a sunny position, where it will reward gardeners with reliable harvests and good disease resistance. Well suited to UK gardens and allotments, this variety combines ornamental value, ecological benefit and practical usefulness with straightforward growing requirements.
