Bramleys Seedling is a historic English cooking apple variety celebrated for its large, firm fruit and robust growth. The tree develops a vigorous, spreading habit with lush green foliage and produces green-skinned apples that turn pale yellow as they mature. The flesh is highly acidic and crisp, making it ideal for cooking, producing a light, fluffy texture in pies, sauces and crumbles, and it has become a favourite for traditional British recipes.

In spring, the tree is covered in masses of white blossom that attract bees and other pollinators, supporting garden biodiversity. It thrives in fertile, well drained soil and a sunny position, where fruit can develop fully in flavour and size. Well suited to UK gardens and allotments, Bramleys Seedling combines ornamental value, ecological benefit and reliable, high-quality fruit production.
