Buddleja alternifolia \’Argentea\’ is a distinctive butterfly bush with slender, arching branches that cascade elegantly, adorned with fragrant purple flowers from April to June. Its silvery foliage emerges in late winter and spring, adding an extra layer of visual interest.

This variety is sun-loving, drought-proof, and thrives in well-drained soil, making it a low-maintenance choice for borders, wildlife gardens, or standalone planting. Reaching up to 2.5m, but easily maintained at 1.5m, it creates a striking focal point in any garden. Unlike other Buddleja, \’Argentea\’ flowers on the previous years wood, so pruning should be done after flowering to encourage fresh growth.
