Cortaderia selloana ‘Pink Feather’, commonly known as Pampas Grass ‘Pink Feather’, is a striking ornamental grass that adds a touch of elegance to gardens. Its dense, clump-forming habit features arching, blue-green leaves with sharply toothed edges, providing a lush backdrop for the stunning plume-like panicles. In late summer to early autumn, it produces glistening pink flower spikes that rise gracefully above the foliage, creating a dramatic focal point in any landscape.

Reaching up to 250 cm in height and spreading up to 150 cm, this perennial grass is well-suited for larger garden spaces where it can be showcased as a standalone specimen or incorporated into mixed borders. The ‘Pink Feather’ variety is particularly noted for its vibrant pink plumes, which not only enhance visual interest but also add movement and texture to the garden as they sway gently in the breeze.

Thriving in fertile, deep, well-drained soil under full sun, Cortaderia selloana ‘Pink Feather’ is relatively low-maintenance once established. It’s advisable to protect the crown with a deep dry mulch during its first winter to ensure hardiness. Due to the sharpness of its leaf edges, wearing gloves when handling or pruning is recommended. With proper care, this pampas grass will reward gardeners with its majestic presence and long-lasting beauty from August through October.
