The Cox’s Orange Pippin is a classic English apple variety renowned for its rich, complex flavor with hints of honey, spice, and citrus, making it a favorite for fresh eating and cider. This mid-season apple is ready for harvest from mid-September through October, offering firm, juicy fruit with exceptional aroma and taste. A pollination partner in Group 2-4 is required to ensure fruiting. Though it requires moderate care to prevent disease in wetter climates, its RHS Award of Garden Merit attests to its garden-worthy qualities. With a manageable size on dwarfing rootstock (up to 4 meters/13 feet) and high fruit quality, Cox’s Orange Pippin is a rewarding addition for apple enthusiasts.
