Delphinium ‘Gossamer’ is a cultivar within the Delphinium elatum group, renowned for its elegant pale lilac flowers with a subtle green centre. This variety produces fully double, frilled blooms borne on tall, slender stems, adding vertical interest to summer borders. The flowers are complemented by dark green, lobed foliage, creating a visually appealing contrast. Typically, the inflorescences reach lengths of 75100 cm, contributing to the plant’s overall height.

Ideal for adding vertical interest to borders or mixed beds, ‘Gossamer’ thrives in well-drained, fertile soils and prefers full sun. Its robust stature makes it suitable for planting in the back of garden beds, where it can serve as a backdrop for shorter perennials. Regular watering and support during blooming can help maintain its upright form and encourage abundant flowering.
