The DriveGrid System is a type of geogrid which is often used to stabilize structures subjected to heavy loads like driveways, for example. A geogrid is a mesh-like structure that supports the layers of gravel and soil beneath the driveway pavers. It spreads pressure at a single point over a larger surface area, preventing any sinking of the surface or damage to the pavers. Although a geogrid is crucial to stabilizing sparse soil, one can also incorporate it into highly compact soil for a driveway that will last as long as the adjacent home. The main advantage of the DriveGrid System is the enhanced durability that it offers your driveway. By distributing heavy loads across the surface, it prevents the movement of the underlying gravel and creates a strong, rigid base.
