The Elstar apple is a mid-season variety renowned for its juicy, crisp texture and delightful balance of sweet and tart flavors, making it ideal for both fresh eating and culinary uses. This apple’s attractive red and yellow skin enhances its appeal in the garden and on the table. Elstar requires a pollination partner from Groups 2-4 and has good resistance to many common apple diseases, although preventive care in humid conditions is beneficial. With the RHS Award of Garden Merit, Elstar stands out as a high-quality choice for home gardeners and orchard growers alike. Dwarfing rootstocks keep Elstar trees manageable at up to 4 meters (13 feet) in height, making it suitable for various garden sizes.
