Epimedium ‘Amber Queen’ is a hardy, deciduous perennial admired for its delicate, pale yellow to amber flowers with red-tinted spurs that bloom from mid to late spring above a carpet of heart-shaped, evergreen to semi-evergreen foliage. The attractive leaves often develop reddish-bronze tones in autumn, adding year-round interest to shaded borders, woodland gardens, or underplantings. Its nectar-rich flowers attract bees and other early-season pollinators, supporting garden biodiversity.

Thriving in partial shade to full shade with moist, well-drained soil, Epimedium ‘Amber Queen’ benefits from removing old foliage in late winter to reveal fresh spring growth and maintain a tidy appearance. Hardy and low-maintenance, this cultivar is valued for its elegant flowers, ornamental foliage, and ability to thrive in shaded garden conditions, making it an excellent choice for woodland or naturalistic plantings.
