Helenium autumnale Red Shades, commonly known as Sneezeweed, is a striking perennial that adds rich red tones to garden borders from late summer into autumn. Its daisy-like flowers, featuring dark central cones and petals with subtle golden tips, create a warm and inviting display. With a clump-forming habit and upright stems, this variety provides excellent vertical interest in cottage gardens, mixed perennial beds, and prairie-style plantings.

Thriving in full sun and fertile, moist but well-drained soil, Helenium Red Shades is easy to grow and low-maintenance. Regular watering in dry periods and occasional deadheading will encourage continuous flowering, making it a valuable addition to seasonal garden displays. Hardy in UK climates, this perennial reliably returns each year, offering long-lasting beauty and resilience in garden settings.

Ideal for pollinator-friendly gardens, Helenium Red Shades is a magnet for bees and butterflies, enhancing biodiversity. Its vibrant flowers also make excellent cut blooms, bringing their warm hues indoors. Perfect for mixed borders, this variety pairs beautifully with ornamental grasses and other late-season perennials, creating a dynamic and colorful planting scheme.
