Helenium ‘UFO Tom’ is a hardy perennial admired for its vibrant red daisy-like flowers with golden centres that bloom from midsummer into autumn, creating a long-lasting and striking display. The upright blooms rise above clumps of bright green foliage, adding structure, texture, and bold late-season colour to borders, cottage gardens, and mixed perennial plantings. Its flowers attract bees and butterflies, enhancing both ornamental and ecological value.

Thriving in full sun with moist, fertile, well-drained soil, Helenium ‘UFO Tom’ is low-maintenance and easy to grow. Deadheading spent flowers encourages prolonged flowering, while cutting back in spring maintains compact and healthy growth. Hardy and resilient, this cultivar delivers dramatic late-summer to autumn colour and pairs well with ornamental grasses or other late-flowering perennials.
