Blooming from early summer through to the first frosts, it provides a long-lasting display of colour in borders, containers, or as a low-growing accent. Its clump-forming, upright foliage adds structure and complements the flowers, making it ideal for smaller gardens or mixed plantings. The combination of bold blooms and tidy foliage ensures continuous ornamental interest.

It is low-maintenance, requiring only occasional deadheading to maintain flowering. ‘Excellent’ is valued for its reliable performance, extended flowering period, and ability to add a vibrant touch to temperate gardens, making it a versatile and decorative choice.
