Hemerocallis ‘Gipsy Turtle’ is a compact, herbaceous perennial daylily renowned for its vibrant, deep red flowers with a contrasting yellow throat. This cultivar is particularly valued for its repeat blooming habit, providing a continuous display of colour from late spring through summer. The flowers are small to medium-sized, measuring approximately 910 cm in diameter, and are borne on sturdy scapes above dense clumps of narrow, arching foliage. Its clump-forming growth habit ensures a neat and tidy appearance throughout the growing season.

This hardy perennial thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers moderately fertile, well-drained soil. Once established, it is drought-tolerant and requires minimal maintenance. Its compact size makes it ideal for smaller garden spaces, containers, or as an edging plant in borders. With its bold colour and reliable performance, ‘Gipsy Turtle’ is an excellent choice for gardeners seeking a low-maintenance yet striking perennial.
