Hosta ‘Blue Boy’ is a hardy perennial prized for its dense clumps of striking blue-green foliage that add cool, calming tones to shaded gardens. The thick, slightly corrugated leaves form a compact mound, providing structure and visual interest. In midsummer, upright spikes of pale lavender flowers rise above the foliage, adding seasonal charm and attracting pollinators. Its tidy habit and distinctive leaf colour make it perfect for borders, woodland plantings, or container displays.

Thriving in partial to full shade with moist, well-drained soil, ‘Blue Boy’ is hardy, low-maintenance, and reliable. The ornamental foliage offers lasting impact throughout the growing season, while the summer blooms enhance garden biodiversity. Its combination of compact growth, attractive blue-green leaves, and seasonal flowers makes it a versatile and appealing choice for shaded garden schemes.
