Hosta sieboldiana ‘Semperaurea’ is a historic and striking perennial renowned for its bold, golden foliage and refined habit. The large, heart-shaped leaves are thick, heavily corrugated, and slightly cupped, forming a dense mound that adds texture and colour to shaded or partially shaded gardens. The centres are yellow-green, transitioning to golden-yellow margins, creating a striking contrast. In mid to late summer, tall scapes emerge carrying pale violet flowers, providing vertical interest and attracting pollinators.

This cultivar thrives in moist, fertile, well-drained soil and prefers partial shade to full shade. Resistant to verticillium wilt and low-maintenance once established, it is excellent for borders, woodland gardens, or as a specimen plant where its striking foliage can be appreciated.
