Hosta ‘Wide Brim’ is a mediumsized perennial that forms a dense, mounded clump of foliage. The leaves are dark green with wide, irregular margins of creamy white that mature to buttery yellow, creating a striking contrast. In mid to late summer, it produces pale lavender flowers on tall scapes, adding vertical interest to shaded garden spaces. This cultivar is appreciated for its bold foliage and reliable performance in the garden.

Beyond its ornamental value, Hosta ‘Wide Brim’ offers ecological benefits by providing nectar for pollinators and serving as ground cover that suppresses weeds. It thrives in moist, welldrained soils and performs best in partial to full shade, making it ideal for shaded borders, woodland gardens, or as a specimen plant in containers.
