Iris sibirica ‘Ruby Wine’ is a striking Siberian iris that adds deep, rich colour to the garden. Its blooms are dark purple with lightly ruffled petals and a subtle golden-yellow signal at the base of the falls, creating a dramatic and eye-catching contrast. The upright clumps of slender green foliage provide structure and complement the airy, graceful flowers. Planted in groups, this variety produces a bold and captivating display, ideal for borders, naturalistic plantings, or near water features.

This hardy perennial thrives in moist but well-drained soils and prefers full sun to partial shade. Flowering in early to mid-summer, ‘Ruby Wine’ is valued for its resilience, low-maintenance growth, and reliability. Its blooms attract pollinators such as bees and butterflies, enhancing ecological value while providing long-lasting ornamental appeal.
