In Spring, the plant will bloom, ensuring that the plants deep red-purple shaded foliage contrasts against the vibrant shades of the flowers. Loropetalum should be planted in moist, well-drained soil and kept in full sun at the best of times. Ensure the plant is kept well-watered – one inch of water every week will be an ample amount to give this shrub to see it thrive and flourish well over time.
