Rudbeckia hirta Cherry Brandy is a bold and vibrant addition to any garden, featuring rich cherry-red petals surrounding a deep brown center. This unique variety is the first red-flowering Rudbeckia, offering a long-lasting display of daisy-like blooms from early summer to autumn. With an upright and bushy growth habit, it provides an eye-catching focal point in borders, beds, and containers. Its warm-toned flowers contrast beautifully with yellows and oranges, creating an inviting seasonal palette.

Thriving in full sun, Cherry Brandy prefers moist but well-drained soil and can tolerate a range of soil conditions. It is heat-tolerant and requires minimal care beyond occasional watering and deadheading to prolong flowering. Regularly removing spent blooms encourages further bud development, ensuring continuous colour throughout the season. This Rudbeckia is ideal for cottage gardens, wildlife-friendly plantings, and mixed perennial displays.

Highly attractive to bees and other pollinators, Cherry Brandy supports biodiversity in the garden while also making an excellent cut flower. Its sturdy stems and long-lasting blooms are perfect for indoor arrangements. For best results, sow seeds indoors in early spring and transplant outdoors after the last frost. With its resilient nature and extended flowering period, ‘Cherry Brandy’ is an excellent choice for gardeners looking to add reliable, long-lasting colour to their outdoor spaces.
