The Santana apple is a mid-season variety known for its crisp, juicy texture and pleasantly mild tartness. Ready for harvest in mid to late September, Santana apples are perfect for fresh eating and have the unique benefit of being hypoallergenic, allowing some apple allergy sufferers to enjoy them without issue. With high resistance to apple scab and general disease, Santana is an excellent choice for gardeners seeking a low-maintenance, productive tree. While it requires a pollination partner from Groups 2-4, Santana is suitable for gardens of all sizes and grows to a manageable height of up to 4 meters (13 feet) on dwarfing rootstocks, making it a versatile and flavorful addition to any orchard or garden.
