Sedum ‘Chocolate Cherry’, also known as Hylotelephium ‘Chocolate Cherry’, is a clump-forming perennial valued for its rich, deep burgundy foliage that provides year-round colour and texture. From late summer into early autumn, it produces clusters of dark pink to reddish star-shaped flowers that rise above the foliage, creating a striking contrast and adding vertical interest to borders, rock gardens, and container plantings. The long-lasting flowers gradually mature, maintaining ornamental appeal well into autumn.

Thriving in full sun and well-drained soil, this drought-tolerant plant performs particularly well in poor or stony conditions. Its nectar-rich blooms attract bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, enhancing ecological value in the garden. Low-maintenance and hardy, Sedum ‘Chocolate Cherry’ requires minimal care beyond trimming back spent flower heads to encourage fresh growth. Its combination of dramatic foliage, vibrant flowers, and resilience makes it a versatile and attractive choice for a range of garden settings.
