Skimmia ‘Kew White’ is a beautiful compact evergreen shrub, prized for its elegant and long-lasting berry display. This is a female variety, and its main feature is the dense clusters of pure white berries that provide a bright and unusual feature in the garden. To ensure it produces these lovely berries, a male Skimmia (like ‘Finchy’ or ‘Kew Green’) must be planted nearby to act as a pollinator.

For the healthiest foliage and best fruit production, Skimmia ‘Kew White’ requires a position in partial to full shade with moist, well-drained, and acidic soil. This low-maintenance shrub naturally forms a neat, compact shape and seldom needs pruning. If any shaping is required, it should be done immediately after its small flowers have faded to avoid removing the developing berries, which are its main ornamental feature.

The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.
