Frequently Asked Questions

Are the batteries included?
Yes. The Smart Garden Head Torch comes with 3 AAA batteries included, so it’s ready to use straight out of the box.

How long do the batteries last?
Battery life depends on which mode you’re using. The lower-output focused-low and red modes conserve power and can last many hours of intermittent use. The focused-high and wide-angle modes use more battery and are best reserved for shorter bursts of bright light.

What is the red LED for?
The red LED preserves night vision useful for stargazing, map reading, fishing, or moving around at night without losing your dark adaptation. The red flashing mode also works as an emergency signal.

Can the lamp head be tilted?
Yes. The lamp head tilts to adjust the beam angle, so you can aim the light precisely where you need it downwards for close-up tasks, or straight ahead for walking.

Is the head strap adjustable?
Yes. The elasticated strap adjusts to fit most adult and older-child head sizes securely and comfortably.

Is it waterproof?
The head torch is designed to handle light rain and damp conditions. For heavy downpours or submersion, we recommend protecting it or moving to shelter.
