Thyme ‘Bressingham Pink’ is a classic creeping herb cultivated primarily for the stunning carpet of bright pink flowers it produces, rather than just its culinary value. While its tiny grey-green leaves possess a mild, savoury herbal aroma, the scent is most notably released when the plant is walked upon or brushed against. It is traditionally used as a fragrant lawn substitute or a gap-filler between paving stones, where it adds vibrant colour to hard landscaping and suppresses weeds.

This plant is typically grown as a hardy, low-spreading evergreen mat that roots as it spreads across the ground. It is tough and frost-tolerant, designed to withstand the elements and light foot traffic. For the best results and the densest flower coverage, plant it in a location with full sun. It is highly drought-tolerant once established and requires well-drained, gritty soil, as it will rot if the ground remains wet or waterlogged.
